New Delhi : The Central Government has constituted a high-powered task force to recommend comprehensive reforms for the National Testing Agency (NTA), with a special focus on strengthening the examination system through technological advancements and structural changes.
The multidisciplinary panel comprises domain experts from diverse fields and has been tasked with overhauling the NTA’s examination framework, particularly from a technology perspective, while also suggesting long-term structural reforms to enhance transparency, efficiency, and credibility.
The members of the task force include:
- Nandan Nilekani, technology expert and Co-founder of Infosys.
- Dr. S. Somanath, former Chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
- Tapan Deka, former Director of the Intelligence Bureau (IB).
- Prof. V. Kamakoti, Director, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras.
- Anita Karwal, former Education Secretary.
- Amrit Lal Meena, logistics expert and senior government official.
The task force is expected to recommend measures to modernise the NTA’s examination processes, strengthen the use of technology, and implement structural reforms aimed at ensuring secure, transparent, and efficient conduct of public examinations across the country.
