New Delhi : According to reports from international media, US President Donald Trump has issued strong remarks against Spain and Iran, criticizing Madrid’s role in NATO and expressing frustration over diplomatic engagement with Tehran.

Speaking about Spain, President Trump said that he had spoken with Italy but had not held discussions with Spain, which he described as a “wasted cause.” He accused Spain of being an unreliable NATO partner, alleging that the country does not contribute enough to the alliance and does not meet its responsibilities.

Trump said, “We don’t want to do any trade business with Spain anymore. I’d like you to cut it off.” He further called for an end to trade relations, including broader engagements and visits, stating that the United States should have no further dealings with Spain.

The US President also claimed that Spain would eventually return to negotiations if such measures were taken, saying the country would “come running back.”

Meanwhile, President Trump also commented on the situation regarding the ceasefire with Iran. According to media reports, Trump said that, in his view, the matter was over and that he no longer wanted to engage with Tehran.

Criticizing Iran’s leadership, Trump used strong language, accusing the country’s rulers of being responsible for the current situation. However, he added that US negotiators were prepared to continue discussions, describing them as capable individuals, but stressed that any further engagement would require Iran to approach him directly.

Trump said that, from his perspective, continuing discussions with Iran would be “a waste of time” unless there was a meaningful change in Tehran’s approach.

The remarks by the US President have drawn international attention, with analysts closely watching their potential impact on America’s relations with its NATO allies and the broader diplomatic situation in the Middle East.
