Under the initiative, citizens will be able to obtain complete information regarding solar system installation, government schemes, subsidies, and related benefits at a single location. The Minister also directed officials to develop a dedicated missed-call-based information system through which consumers can receive detailed information about installing solar systems.
Sh. Vij instructed that all Solar Energy Windows at SDO offices should prominently display awareness materials and banners containing information on solar schemes and incentives so that consumers do not face any confusion while opting for solar energy solutions.
Emphasizing the government’s commitment towards renewable energy, the Energy Minister said his priority is to make Haryana the leading state in the country in the field of solar energy. He directed officials to launch awareness campaigns in villages and cities across the state to encourage greater adoption of solar systems.
He further instructed that officers and employees delivering outstanding work in promoting solar energy should be honoured to motivate wider participation in the initiative.
During the meeting, the Minister also reviewed the functioning of the electricity complaint helpline number 1912 and directed officials to ensure that every call received on the helpline is attended promptly and grievances are resolved effectively. He stressed the need to strengthen and technologically upgrade the 1912 service for better consumer support.
