Benjamin Netanyahu Appoints Roman Gofman as New Mossad Chief

New Delhi : Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that, following approval by the Grunis Committee, he has formally appointed Major General Roman Gofman as the next head of the Mossad .

Gofman, who has served as Netanyahu’s military secretary for the past two years, was praised as an exceptional officer—both bold and innovative. Netanyahu highlighted his ability to think creatively and demonstrate strong resourcefulness, particularly during wartime.

He expressed confidence in Gofman’s leadership and wished him success in his new role, emphasizing his expected contribution to Israel’s security.
