Gurugram : Municipal Corporation Gurugram has launched a modern Management Information System (MIS) mapping portal to improve transparency and monitoring of development works across the city.

Work has already begun to map various projects on the portal. A special training session was held for engineers under the leadership of Municipal Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya. Senior officials, including Additional Municipal Commissioner Yash Jaluka, were also present.

During the session, engineers were trained on how to upload and map projects on the portal. They were instructed to complete the mapping of all roads in their respective areas within one week as part of the first phase. They were also advised to seek technical help whenever needed.

Officials said that after roads, other works like sewer systems, drainage networks, and street infrastructure will also be added to the portal in later phases. This system will help in better tracking of projects and reduce chances of irregularities or misuse.

Focus on Monsoon Preparedness

The Municipal Commissioner also reviewed preparations for the upcoming monsoon season. He directed officials to ensure proper arrangements of pumps, machinery, and other resources to deal with waterlogging. He stressed that all departments must work together and ensure there is no loss of life during the monsoon.

Better Governance Through Technology

Pradeep Dahiya said the new portal will make governance more transparent and accountable. It will allow real-time monitoring of projects and help improve services and infrastructure for citizens.
