Mumbai : The Enforcement Directorate on Friday carried out multiple search operations at premises linked to Reliance Power, a company associated with industrialist Anil Ambani. According to sources, the raids are being conducted as part of an ongoing bank fraud and money laundering investigation connected to Reliance Communications.

Officials said around 15 ED teams launched coordinated searches at 10 to 12 locations across Mumbai and Hyderabad early in the morning. The raids are reportedly targeting individuals and entities associated with Reliance Power as investigators probe alleged financial irregularities linked to the RCom bank fraud case.

The searches are being conducted by the ED’s Special Task Force (STF) under provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. Officials are examining financial documents, digital records, and transactions as part of the money laundering investigation involving the Reliance Group companies.

Earlier, on February 25, the Enforcement Directorate had provisionally attached the residential property “Abode”, located in the upscale Pali Hill, which is linked to Anil Ambani. The property was valued at ₹3,716.83 crore and was attached in connection with the same bank fraud and money laundering probe involving Reliance Communications.

With this action, the total value of assets attached by the ED in cases linked to the group has crossed ₹15,700 crore. Officials also noted that a portion of the same property worth ₹473.17 crore had previously been attached during earlier stages of the investigation.

The ongoing ED raids on Reliance Power and related entities are part of a broader effort by investigators to trace the flow of funds and alleged financial irregularities linked to the Reliance Communications loan default case.
