New Delhi : In a tragic development, a fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force crashed in Assam, leading to the death of two pilots. According to initial media reports, the accident involved a Sukhoi Su-30MKI that went down in the Karbi Anglong district.

The Indian Air Force confirmed the loss of its personnel through a post on X, expressing grief over the deaths of Anuj and Purvesh Duragkar, who sustained fatal injuries in the crash. The Air Force stated that all personnel of the force extend sincere condolences to the bereaved families and stand firmly with them during this difficult time.
