Talwandi Sabo, 09 August : “ For India as Swarnim Bharat towards 2047, we must become street SMART with Needonomics as common sense approach ”, justified Prof. Madan Mohan Goel, Former Vice-Chancellor known as Propounder Needonomics School of Thought superannuated from Kurukshetra University. He was delivering special lecture in the Dept. of Economics Guru Kashi University, Talwandi Sabo (Bathinda) today. His topic was “Relevance of Needonomics for India ”. Dr Gursimran Kaur convener delivered the welcome address and presented a citation on the achievements of Prof. M.M. Goel.

We have to understand and adopt the principle of needonomics in totality which includes needo-consumption, needo-saving, needo-production, needo-investment, needo-distribution, altruism, needo-trade for glocalization ( think globally and act locally) , explained Prof. Goel.

To create demand for the goods and services, there is a strong case for adopting the NAW (Need, Affordability and Worth) approach to international marketing, believes Prof. Goel.

We must search for solutions to the worldly problems in Needonomics as Indian Knowledge System creates synergy between ancient wisdom and contemporary issues, told Prof. Goel.

All challenges and worldly problems in the present era call for understanding the gita-based principle of ‘Needonomics’ with spiritually guided materialism (SGM) strategy for needo-wealth, needo-health and needo-happiness, said Prof. Goel.

We have to address illness in the behaviour of all the stakeholders as consumers, producers, distributors, traders, policymakers and politicians, told Prof. Goel.
