January 16, 2016: Tata will launch its flagship, the Hexa, on January 18, 2017. Tata’s second crack at the premium UV space seems promising, as it looks to take on the likes of the Mahindra XUV500 and the Toyota Innova Crysta.
The Hexa is loaded to the gills with features, highlights of which include projector headlamps, 19-inch alloy wheels, LED taillamps, and a 10-speaker JBL audio system.
It gets the 2.2-litre Varicor diesel engine with either 150PS/320Nm or 156PS/400Nm on tap. While the former tune is available with a 5-speed manual, the latter gets a 6-speed manual as well as a 6-speed automatic. It’s available in a total of six variants – XE, XM, XMA, XT, XTA And XT 4×4. We expect prices for the Hexa to span from Rs 12 lakh to Rs 18 lakh.
