Gurugram : Gurugram got its 7 most talented singers on 4th March Sunday night . This journey began in the first week of January this year and lasted on 4th march. It is the resultant of two months day- night hard work done by two most dedicated and famous musician and singer of Gurugram NCR namely Col R C Chadha and Lily Singh. This first of its kind of Talent Hunt Programe’ was organised in collaboration with Global Cultural Foundation and Ramneek Arts the two prestigious socio cultural organisations of Gurugram.
The Arya Samaj Mandir auditorium, DLF Phase II , Gurugram was full of spectators who enjoyed very well and became evident of this great event where the names of 4 winners and three Runer-ups were announced by the judge Dr Ramesh Nautiyal a participants of Sa Re Ga Ma a famous reality show . The Chief guest of the final Musical Evening was R S Rathi ,Municipal Councilor Gurugram and Guest of Honour Subhash jain and R K singh who felicitated all winners. It was well anchored by Suman Chawla and Mr Wadhwa with an attractive rhetoric, applauded by all.
According to Col R C Chadha President of Global Cultural Foundation, this idea came to his mind in the mid of year 2017 and under the discussion with members of GCF the performa was decided. Ultimately we finalized the audition date with the consultation of great singer Lily Singh who heads Ramneek Arts a very dedicated music training centre.
He said that the idea behind this event was to provide a platform for the new emerging singers of every age group. The singers of 16 to any age were allowed to participate and prove their talent in singing. We got huge response and finally the audition began on 28 th of January 2018. During the two day audition more than 90 singers of various age group were selected. It was very difficult to shortlist for Semi final as all were of same passion and enthusiasm, were doing well during training period.
Speaking with Thepublicworld.Com , News Portal , Lily Singh a very melodious singer and head of Ramneek Arts said that all were very good singer but not familiar with orchestra. Hence we focused and did hard work to give them a sense of singing with orchestra and all musical instruments. Coordination between notes and instruments were lacking, but our effort did well. She said that Col R C Chadha tried to inject self confidence and the result was remarkable. All shortlisted candidates were divided into two groups according to their age . The first group was between 16 to 50 years and the second was between 51 to ongoing . Only 18 singers got their selection in the Semi final organised on 14th February in Richmond Community Centre, Gurugram among which one female was withdrawn herself.
The talent hunt organised by two singing groups of Gurgaon provided a platform to all budding singers who are keen and exploring the possibility in the field of singing . Ramneek arts and Global Cultural Foundation gave effective training and incorporated them very precious knowledge of how to sing professionally .
Finally 17 singers came to the final platform to exhibit themselves in two groups. Indeed the fight was very tough. Some of the female singers had neck to neck fight and the judge were compelled to announce two winners for each group as they got tie in marks . Reena Dhankar and Jyoti Singha in Group -I and Vinod Ramani and Shiv Choudhary in Group -II were announced as winners where Suman Chawla, R P singh and Rohini Choudhary got the place of Runners Up. “Ai Pyaar Teri Baali Umar ko Salam” song, sung by Rina got huge applaud by the audience on the other hand “Kanton se Kheech Ke Aanchal” song by Jyoti Sinha pushed all senior citizens towards their young sweet memory. The auditorium echoed with the beats of yesteryears melodies and the songs took the members back in time .
Speaking about the initiative Dr Ramesh Nautiyal who has been a participant of Sa Re Ga Ma reality show said, “I have judged so many competitions where youngsters explore their talent but this was one of its kind where people of all ages have exhibited their talent. I have shared the platform of GCF in the past too and this had been a beautiful experience.”
One participant Bhuvna Jai Kumar a resident of DLF Phase 2 said, “I am a working women and for me exploring my passion in singing has only been since 1.5 years. This talent hunt has given me a chance to perform and show my singing skill.”
Another participant Vinod Ramnani, a resident of Ridgewood condominium said, ” The contestants are from age group of 20 going upto 70. The spirit of everyone was amazingly high and everyone was very enthusiastic.”
The main pillars of this show Col R C Chaddha and Lily Singh announced that considering the enthusiasm and excitement of all the participant singers we would continue to work towards promoting music in future too. All music lovers as well as singers perused them to organise such event every year.
