Tezpur: The Army leg of Defence Correspondents’ Course (DCC) 2026 commenced in Tezpur with an address by the Corps Commander, setting the context for defence correspondents to engage with the Indian Army and gain a deeper understanding of military affairs.

The programme featured an orientation briefing, a dedicated session on the 1962 operations, and a briefing on media dos and don’ts during military operations.

The session on media practices focused on key aspects of operational security, information verification and responsible reporting, highlighting the importance of exercising caution while covering sensitive military developments.
