8th Edition of PM Mementos e-Auction Underway ; 99 Mementos Showcase Uttar Pradesh’s Cultural Heritage, History and Contemporary Achievements

Collection Includes Ram Mandir Model, Guru Ravidas Temple, Rani Lakshmi Bai Portrait, Meerut Metro and Ganga Expressway Models

New Delhi : A diverse collection of 99 mementos representing Uttar Pradesh’s rich cultural heritage, historical legacy and contemporary achievements is being featured in the 8th edition of the PM Mementos e-Auction, which is live online until October 2, 2026.

The collection brings together a wide range of items, including spiritual artefacts, traditional artworks, sporting memorabilia and miniature models of major infrastructure projects, offering a glimpse into the state’s diverse heritage and its modern-day achievements.

Ram Mandir Model Among Key Attractions

One of the prominent mementos is a detailed model of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, crafted from MDF fibreboard and featuring intricate architectural detailing.

Another notable entry is a memento depicting the Shri Guru Ravidas Janam Asthan Mandir in Varanasi, reflecting the spiritual and cultural legacy associated with Guru Ravidas.

Rani Lakshmi Bai and Mathura’s Traditional Sanjhi Art

The collection also features a framed portrait of Rani Lakshmi Bai, portraying the Queen of Jhansi on horseback with her son Damodar Rao.

Representing Uttar Pradesh’s traditional artistic heritage is a contemporary Sanjhi paper-cut artwork from Mathura, titled “Tree of Life with Holy Cows.” The artwork showcases the intricate hand-cutting technique associated with the traditional Sanjhi art form.

Para-Athlete Preeti Pal’s Signed Shirt

Uttar Pradesh’s sporting achievements find representation through a signed shirt belonging to para-athlete Preeti Pal, who won two bronze medals in the 100m and 200m T35 events at the 2024 Paris Paralympics.

Meerut Metro and Ganga Expressway Models

The catalogue also includes a miniature model of the Meerut Metro, commemorating the inauguration of its 26-km corridor in February 2026.

Other notable mementos include a Namo Ghat Varanasi hand-namaste memento, featuring a sculptural representation of the distinctive joined hands at Namo Ghat.

A Ganga Expressway model is also part of the collection, featuring Goddess Ganga alongside a miniature representation of the infrastructure project.

Together, the 99 mementos highlight different dimensions of Uttar Pradesh—from its spiritual traditions and historical figures to its traditional arts, sporting achievements and modern infrastructure landmarks.
