DHBVN conducts high-level review of defaulting amounts and compliance with HERC directions on pole-mounted meters
Gurugram, September 30, 2026: The Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) management has adopted a strict approach towards the recovery of outstanding dues and directed officials at all levels to ensure accountability and time-bound disposal of pending cases.
Managing Director Vikram Singh made it clear that any tendency to unnecessarily delay cases related to outstanding dues would not be tolerated. Officials concerned have been directed to personally monitor every pending case and ensure effective action for recovery.
As part of the exercise, an important review meeting was held under the chairmanship of DHBVN Director Projects V.K. Aggarwal and Director Operations Mukesh Chauhan. Chief Engineers, Superintending Engineers, Executive Engineers and other senior officials from the concerned Commercial and Operations wings participated in the meeting through video conferencing.
The meeting primarily reviewed defaulting amounts involving government and private sector consumers, the reasons for pending dues and time-bound action plans for their recovery. Officials were instructed to identify the reasons behind each pending case and ensure concrete action for recovery.
Special emphasis was placed on closely monitoring long-pending cases, fixing responsibility and regularly reviewing the progress of action taken.
In line with the directions of MD Vikram Singh, officials were told that recovery efforts should not remain limited to paperwork but must produce tangible results. Officers were directed to continuously monitor pending cases in their respective areas and complete the required action within the prescribed timelines.
Review of HERC Directions on Pole-Mounted Meters
The meeting also reviewed compliance with directions issued by the Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission (HERC) regarding pole-mounted meters.
Officials were asked to provide details of the current status, pending works and action taken so far. They were directed to ensure compliance with HERC directions within the stipulated timelines.
The meeting made it clear that there would be no scope for unnecessary delays in matters related to recovery of outstanding dues and compliance with HERC directions. Officials were instructed to personally monitor pending cases in their respective areas and submit progress reports to senior authorities within the prescribed timeframe.
DHBVN spokesperson Sanjay Chugh said that, as per the directions of MD Vikram Singh, the corporation is giving top priority to revenue recovery, accountability and time-bound action. Pending cases are being reviewed regularly, with particular emphasis on ensuring effective action in each case.
