Amritsar : US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor paid obeisance at the sacred Sri Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple) in Amritsar.
During his visit, Ambassador Gor was honoured by Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, head of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), and Jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargajj of Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
The visit also included discussions on issues concerning the Sikh community. The interaction provided an opportunity to exchange views on matters of importance to Sikhs and their religious institutions.
Ambassador Gor’s visit to the revered Sikh shrine comes amid continued engagement between India and the United States across diplomatic, cultural and people-to-people spheres.
The visit highlighted the importance of religious and community engagement alongside the broader India-US relationship.
