New Delhi, September 2, 2026: The Hindi Month 2026 celebrations at IIT Delhi commenced with an interactive session introducing the Basic Hindi Learning Programme, aimed at encouraging non-Hindi-speaking students, including international students, to learn the language.
The session brought together a diverse group of students from different countries and cultural backgrounds. Their enthusiastic participation and keen interest in joining the proposed programme made the interaction engaging and lively.
The initiative is designed to provide learners with a basic understanding of Hindi and create an opportunity for students from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds to connect with the language.
Prof. Anil Verma, Dean of International Relations at IIT Delhi, was present on the occasion and appreciated the new initiative undertaken by the Hindi Cell.
The programme marks an effort by IIT Delhi to promote Hindi among its diverse student community while fostering greater cultural and linguistic engagement on campus.
