Indian Army Signals Mountaineering Team Summits Three Ladakh Peaks in 16 Days

New Delhi : Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Dhiraj Seth interacted with the Corps of Signals Mountaineering Team after the team successfully completed a challenging expedition involving the ascent of three high-altitude peaks in Ladakh.

The team first summited Mt Kiagar Ri (6,100 metres) on August 13, 2026, followed by Mt Mentok Kangri (6,250 metres) on August 24 and Mt Chamser Kangri (6,622 metres) on August 29.

The mountaineers accomplished the remarkable feat of scaling all three peaks within just 16 days, demonstrating exceptional endurance, determination, teamwork and mountaineering skills in the demanding terrain of Ladakh.

General Dhiraj Seth, who flagged in and interacted with the team following the expedition, appreciated their achievement and spirit of adventure.

The expedition reflects the Indian Army’s unwavering pursuit of excellence, courage and operational resilience, while highlighting the spirit of adventure and the ability of its personnel to take on challenging missions in extreme environments.
