Rewari: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday flagged off a Youth Marathon against drug abuse in Rewari, calling upon young people to lead the state’s campaign for a drug-free Haryana.
The Chief Minister said it was a matter of immense joy to join the energetic youth in the marathon held in the historic land of Rewari. The event featured a 5-kilometre “Run for All” as well as a challenging 10-kilometre race, with participants using every step as a message against drug abuse.
Saini described the marathon as a public awareness campaign aimed at strengthening the resolve for a “Drug-Free Youth and Drug-Free Haryana.”
He said the determination emerging from Rewari should resonate across the state, with the message: “We will neither consume drugs nor allow drugs to be sold.”
The Chief Minister emphasised the importance of a healthy and fit youth population, saying, “When the youth is fit, Haryana will hit it big.”
