New Delhi : Congress MP from Thiruvananthapuram, Shashi Tharoor, said he had an engaging lunchtime interaction with a group of ambassadors to India at the residence of Argentina’s Ambassador, Mariano Agustín Caucino.
Tharoor said that around a dozen ambassadors participated in the informal exchange and sought his views on a range of pressing international issues. The discussion covered the evolving global order, contemporary geopolitical developments and the process surrounding the selection of the next United Nations Secretary-General.
Describing the interaction as both enjoyable and insightful, Tharoor said such exchanges provide a valuable opportunity for an open sharing of perspectives on important global developments. Mariano Agustín Caucino is Argentina’s Ambassador to India. The process to select the next UN Secretary-General is currently underway, with the new Secretary-General expected to assume office in January 2027.
