Secunderabad: The College of Defence Management (CDM), Secunderabad, hosted a symposium titled “Convergence of Domains: Emergence of Future Warfare”, focusing on the rapidly changing nature of warfare and the future battlespace.
The event was inaugurated by Air Marshal Yalla Umesh, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C), Maintenance Command, and brought together experts and practitioners from the armed forces, defence research institutions and industry to examine emerging trends in modern warfare.
The deliberations focused on Multi-Domain Operations, emerging technologies, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and unmanned systems, along with the need for India’s armed forces to effectively integrate these capabilities to respond to evolving future challenges.
Experts from the Services, DRDO laboratories LRDE and CABS, and industry representatives from Zuppa Geo Nav, Zen Technologies, Tecknotrove Systems, and Tractrix Opto Dynamics participated in the discussions and shared their perspectives on emerging defence technologies and operational requirements.
The symposium highlighted the growing convergence between strategy and technology, underscoring that future wars will increasingly be fought at the intersection of strategic thinking, advanced technology and multi-domain capabilities.
