New Delhi : A meeting of the floor leaders of the INDIA alliance was held in the chamber of Congress President and Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge, to deliberate on key issues related to the ongoing Parliament session. Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi was also present during the meeting. All Opposition leaders have been raising demand in both houses to discuss on lathi charge on students at Jantar Mantar Protest and a statement from the Home Minister Amit Shah as well as presence of Prime Minister .
The meeting was attended by several senior Opposition leaders, including Congress General Secretary K. C. Venugopal, SP MP Dharmendra Yadav, Independent Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal, Trinamool Congress Rajya Sabha MP Derek O’Brien, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Arvind Sawant, Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) MP E. T. Muhammed Basheer, and Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP) MP N. K. Premachandran among other INDIA alliance leaders.
According to the Congress, the leaders held discussions on important issues related to the current Parliament session and coordinated the alliance’s strategy for raising key matters in both Houses of Parliament.
