Phuentsholing: A delegation of distinguished academicians from Bhutan paid a courtesy call on Consul General of India Ms. Sucheta Chatterjee at the Consulate General of India (CGI), reaffirming the importance of academic collaboration and educational exchanges between India and Bhutan.
The delegation included Dr. Cheki Dorji, the Royal University of Bhutan’s (RUB) first Senior Academic Fellow; Dr. Tshewang Lhendup, President of the College of Science and Technology (CST), Rinchending; Mr. Tenzin Norbu, Assistant Coordinator, STAR-C, CST; and Mr. Saurabh Motiwala from the International Solar Alliance (ISA).
The courtesy meeting provided an opportunity to discuss areas of mutual interest, particularly in higher education, academic cooperation, capacity building and sustainable development.
The interaction reflected the strong and growing partnership between India and Bhutan, with educational and institutional collaborations continuing to serve as an important pillar of the close bilateral relationship.
