New Delhi: Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) Chief Spokesperson Saurav Das has called on the Central Government and BJP/NDA-ruled states to immediately implement the assurances made to students on July 25, following what he described as the Supreme Court’s clarification that has removed existing uncertainties.

In a statement posted on social media platform X, Das termed the development as “yet another major victory for the youth” and said the time had come for governments to honour the commitments made to young people across the country.

He stated that since the beginning of the students’ movement, the Cockroach Janta Party had extended legal assistance, medical support and other forms of help to students and protesters “within its means,” adding that the party remained committed to supporting them.

Das also expressed gratitude to lawyers across the country for providing legal assistance to protesters during the movement.

He said the party was closely monitoring developments in different states and remained in regular contact with senior representatives of the Union Government regarding the implementation of the assurances.

“The youth of this country honoured their word. It is now time for the Government to honour its own immediately,” Das said, urging authorities to implement the assurances in both “letter and spirit.”
