New Delhi: A delegation of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Delhi unit on Saturday submitted a written complaint to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (New Delhi) against Congress MP and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, Independent MP Pappu Yadav, Samajwadi Party MP Awadhesh Prasad, and others, alleging that they insulted Sanatan Dharma within the Parliament premises.
The delegation was led by BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj and included MLA Anil Sharma, MLA Karnail Singh, and advocate Sanket Gupta.
According to the BJP, the complaint seeks legal action over the alleged remarks and actions that the party claims hurt the religious sentiments of followers of Sanatan Dharma. The delegation urged the police to examine the matter and take appropriate action in accordance with the law.
The complaint has been submitted to the New Delhi Police for consideration. There has been no immediate response from Rahul Gandhi, Pappu Yadav, Awadhesh Prasad, or the other individuals named in the complaint at the time of filing this report.
