New Delhi: The 13th meeting of the Empowered Committee of the Technology Development Fund (TDF) Scheme was held at DRDO Bhawan under the chairmanship of Defence Secretary, Secretary, Department of Defence R&D and Chairman, DRDO, Rajesh Kumar Singh. Senior officials from the Ministry of Defence and other ministries attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the Empowered Committee approved 17 new projects for funding under the Technology Development Fund (TDF) Scheme, aimed at strengthening indigenous defence research and accelerating the development of advanced technologies.
On the occasion, M/s Quartodonda Technologies, the winner of the Dare to Dream Challenge funded under the TDF Scheme, successfully handed over its indigenously developed Reconfigurable Digital Interceptor Receiver technology to the Empowered Committee.
The successful development and transfer of the technology was highlighted as another significant step towards achieving Aatmanirbhar Bharat in the defence sector by promoting indigenous innovation, reducing dependence on imports and strengthening India’s defence technological capabilities.
The Technology Development Fund Scheme continues to support startups, MSMEs and industry partners in developing cutting-edge defence technologies to enhance the country’s self-reliance and innovation ecosystem.
