New Delhi: Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Taranjit Singh Sandhu inaugurated IKEA’s new store at Saket on Thursday in the presence of Jan Thesleff, Ambassador of Sweden to India, and Patrik Antoni, CEO of IKEA India.
Speaking on the occasion, the Lieutenant Governor said that accessible, affordable and sustainable living solutions are essential for Delhi’s growing families and young professionals. He noted that the arrival of the leading Swedish home furnishing brand reflects increasing global confidence in Delhi’s economic potential and further strengthens the national capital’s position as a preferred destination for international investment and business, in line with the vision of #ViksitDelhi.
The Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu also referred to the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that the world is investing in India with hope and enthusiasm. He said this confidence is driven by India’s strong economic growth story, a stable policy environment and the strength of its vast consumer market, making the country an attractive destination for global businesses and investors.
