PM Modi to Attend Assam Oath-Taking Ceremony on May 12 in Guwahati

Guwahati : Asam BJP president Dilip Saikia announced that the oath-taking ceremony of the new government in Assam will be held on May 12 at 11:00 AM at the Khanapara Field in Guwahati.

Addressing the media, the state BJP president stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the ceremony as the Chief Guest. The event is also expected to be attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President Nitin Nabin, Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers from NDA-ruled states, senior Union Ministers, top party leadership, and distinguished personalities from various regions of Assam.

Saikia said the large-scale event would mark an important political occasion for the state and reflect the BJP-led NDA’s strong organizational presence in the region.

He further informed that BJP observer Union Health Minister J. P. Nadda is scheduled to arrive in Assam on May 9, while Deputy Observer and Nayab Singh Saini CM Haryana s also expected to reach the state the same day. Both leaders are likely to arrive by the evening of May 9 ahead of the meeting of the NDA and BJP legislative parties scheduled for May 10.

The preparations for the swearing-in ceremony are underway, with party leaders and administration coordinating arrangements for the participation of senior national leaders and invited guests.
