New Delhi : The government has confirmed that no incident involving Indian vessels or seafarers has been reported in the last 24 hours, assuring continued safety in the Gulf region.
According to Rajesh Sinha, Secretary of Ministry of Shiping , around 20 Indian-flagged ships, carrying nearly 540 Indian seafarers, are currently operating in the Gulf and all personnel are safe. The Directorate General of Shipping is maintaining constant communication with the vessels to monitor the situation.
Seafarers Repatriated Safely :
In a related development, 50 Indian seafarers have been repatriated and brought back to the country over the past 24 hours.
Port Operations Remain Normal :
Officials also confirmed that port operations across the region are functioning smoothly, with no reports of congestion or disruption.
The government continues to closely track maritime developments to ensure the safety of Indian ships and seafarers.
