Hyderabad : According to Media reports Asaduddin Owaisi, president of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), on Friday raised concerns over the reported preventive missile strike by Israel against Iran and questioned whether India had prior knowledge of the development.
Addressing the media, Owaisi said that if such an attack had taken place while the Prime Minister’s aircraft was in the air, accountability would need to be clarified. He urged the Prime Minister to inform the country whether Israeli authorities had shared any prior information regarding the planned strike.
Owaisi further stated that if advance information had indeed been conveyed, the Prime Minister should have curtailed the visit and returned to India immediately. Conversely, he added, if India had not been informed, it would raise serious diplomatic concerns and suggest that Israel had misled India regarding the timing of the operation.
He also alleged that the attack may have been timed to divert global attention from the ongoing situation in Gaza and warned that such developments could create the perception that India is aligning with Israel rather than maintaining a balanced position. Owaisi questioned what strategic or diplomatic benefits India would derive from the incident.
