Haryana City Swachhta Abhiyan Continues in Gurugram

Gurugram : In compliance with the guidelines issued by the government, the cleanliness drive remained active on Tuesday as part of the Haryana City Swachhta Abhiyan being run by Municipal Corporation Gurugram. Despite heavy rains in the area, cleanliness teams were seen doing cleaning work in their respective areas. At the same time, Joint Commissioner level officers were also present on the spot and kept guiding the cleanliness teams as well as boosting their morale.

Joint Commissioner Dr. Naresh Kumar visited Zone-1, Joint Commissioner Vishal Kumar visited Zone-2, Joint Commissioner Dr. Jaiveer Yadav visited Zone-3, and Joint Commissioner Ravindra Malik visited Zone-4 and took stock of the cleaning work and gave necessary guidelines to the teams.

Under the Haryana City Swachhta Abhiyan, Municipal Corporation Gurugram is running cleanliness drives in various areas not only with the corporation councilors, RWA and NGO representatives, but also with the local residents. Under this, awareness teams are motivating people to maintain cleanliness.

On Tuesday, the Municipal Corporation teams in various market areas made shopkeepers and street vendors aware to maintain cleanliness in their surrounding premises and use dustbins. It was also made clear that if any shopkeeper or street vendor spreads garbage around him, he will be challaned. Apart from this, guidelines for complete ban on the use of polythene and single use plastic were also issued.

Municipal Corporation Gurugram Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya said that our aim is to make the city completely clean under the Haryana City Swachhta Abhiyan. For this, the Municipal Corporation team is constantly active and with the cooperation of the administration, citizens and social organizations, the cleaning system is being made more effective. Even in conditions like rain, our teams are engaged in their work with full hard work. We appeal to all the citizens to also cooperate in maintaining cleanliness.
