Gurugram : DC Ajay Kumar has deputed 14 senior officers area-wise to deal with the waterlogging situation in the district during monsoon. These officers have been instructed to visit the allotted areas on the basis of previous waterlogging conditions. It has also been said in the instructions that the officer appointed for the designated area will coordinate with GMDA, Municipal Corporation Manesar and Gurugram including police and electricity department and will also ensure immediate drainage of water in case of waterlogging.
DC Ajay Kumar has said that all 14 officers should visit the site in their jurisdiction and ensure that the pump sets are in working condition, there are employees to run them, fuel is available. As soon as the rain stops, the officer should try to ensure that the rainwater is drained out within half an hour to one hour. For this, they should make whatever arrangements they have to make there by taking decisions at their own discretion. He said that be alert from the beginning and try to ensure that there is no waterlogging. ADC Vatsal Vashisht has been made the nodal officer for this entire campaign. He has said that the officers should be alert in this matter from the beginning and keep updating the ADC with the action taken.
