Chandigarh : Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Anil Vij announced that a beautiful modern park will be constructed in the old Railway Colony of Ambala Cantonment, which will provide various facilities to the people. He has allocated Rs. 25 lakh from his discretionary fund to the Railways for this park. The park will benefit not only residents of the Railway Colony but also those living in surrounding areas.In addition, Sh. Vij has allocated Rs. 10 lakh for promoting sports activities at the Central Phoenix Club and Rs. 5 lakh for installing a high-quality sound system at the open-air theater in Subhash Park.
He said that the modern park will be constructed on vacant land near the SD Temple and Valmiki Temple in the old Railway Colony. It will offer facilities for walking, sitting, and more. Since the Railway Colony lacked a park, Rs. 25 lakh has been allocated for this purpose. The park will also benefit residents of PNT Colony, Dudh Mandi, Shiwala Mandi, and nearby military areas. Sh. Anil Vij has instructed the DRM of Ambala to expedite the park’s construction. The park will include several amenities to cater to people of all age groups for morning and evening visits.
Anil Vij Also Allocates Rs. 10 Lakh for Sports Activities at Central Phoenix Club
Energy Minister Anil Vij has also sanctioned Rs. 10 lakh from his discretionary fund to promote sports at Central Phoenix Club, which currently offers shooting, badminton, lawn tennis, and other activities. It was through his efforts that a shooting range was established at the club, and today, shooters from this facility are making Ambala Cantonment proud on the global stage. The club’s management has expressed heartfelt gratitude for Energy Minister’s support.
Rs. 5 Lakh Allocated for High-Quality Sound System at Open-Air Theater in Subhash Park
Energy and Transport Minister Anil Vij has also allocated Rs. 5 lakh from his discretionary fund for the installation of a high-quality sound system in the open-air theater at Subhash Park in Ambala. This theater has become a hub for cultural activities, including music, drama, and other events held daily.
