New Delhi/ Chandigarh : Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya paid a courtesy call on President of India Draupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Friday evening. During the visit, Shri Dattatreya presented a copy of his recently launched book “Janata Ki Kahani Meri Aatmakatha” to the Hon’ble President.
The Governor said that it was a moment of great joy and honour as the Hon’ble President graciously read out a few pages of the book and shared his valuable insights on the topics covered in the autobiography, which describes my public life and service to the nation.
President Draupadi Murmu enquired about the development work going on in Haryana, with special interest in the implementation of the National Education Policy. Governor Shri Dattatreya apprised her about the development being carried out in the State in key sectors including health, education, sports and women empowerment.
The Governor also apprised the President about the effective implementation of reservation policies for Scheduled Castes and Other Backward Classes in Haryana. The President was pleased to know about the remarkable achievements of girls in Haryana, particularly in the field of sports, and appreciated their growing contribution to the progress of the State.
