Gurugram, March 27 : Various schemes are being implemented from time to time by the Haryana government for the betterment of the Anganwadi centers of the state. In view of these efforts, now the district level officers will contribute to further improve the services and facilities being provided there by adopting the Anganwadi centers of their jurisdiction under the Suposhit Haryana Abhiyan. Giving the above information, ADC Hitesh Kumar Meena said that under the campaign, DC Ajay Kumar will adopt the Anganwadi located at Rajendra Park in Block Gurugram Urban-1.
ADC Hitesh Kumar Meena said that to ensure that every person gets adequate nutrition and assistance, 20 Anganwadis have been adopted by the five SDMs of the district namely Sohna, Gurugram, Pataudi, Manesar and Badshahpur. Out of these, 7 Anganwadis of Laxman Vihar under Urban-1 block will be adopted by SDM Paramjit Chahal of Gurugram, 2 Anganwadis of Tikri under Urban 2 block will be adopted by SDM Ankit Chaukse of Badshahpur. 4 Anganwadis of Bagnki village in rural area will be adopted by SDM Darshan Yadav of Manesar. Also, 4 Anganwadis of Jamalpur and 2 Anganwadis of Bhokarka village under Pataudi and Farukhnagar blocks will be adopted by SDM Pataudi Dinesh Luhach, while one Anganwadi of Chamanpura village under Sohna block will be adopted by SDM Sanjeev Singla. ADC Hitesh Kumar Meena said that “Suposhit Haryana Abhiyan” is an important initiative to improve the nutritional status of pregnant women, lactating mothers and children of 0-6 years in Haryana, which aims to reduce malnutrition and promote the growth of children.
Under the Suposhit Haryana Abhiyan, awareness will be created through videos. At the same time, monthly visits will be made by the supervisors. He said that the supervisors will visit Anganwadi centers in selected villages at least once a month except the 15th, which will be the date of growth monitoring. The supervisor will be provided a Google link to upload live location and photographs of growth monitoring days, home and Anganwadi centers visits once every month, so that transparency and accountability can be ensured.
He also said that the Pradhan and Panchayat members will be actively involved in this initiative. The Pradhan will be invited to the Weight Day (Weight Day) to be held on the 15th of every month, where the weight of the children will be monitored. During this program, the Supervisor CDPO will be present and the Pradhan will sign the updated list of malnourished children, as well as improve the condition. They will also give comments and suggestions for the development of the district. Its goal is to reduce the number of malnourished children to zero.
ADC Hitesh Kumar Meena said that the District Program Officer (DPO) will organize block level meetings with the concerned CDPOs, supervisors and Anganwadi workers on the first and third Fridays of every month to review the progress. At the same time, meetings will be held with all the concerned departments and CDPOs on the second and fourth Fridays to review the overall progress at the district level.
Badshahpur SDM Ankit Chokse, Gurugram SDM Paramjit Chahal, Sohna SDM Sanjeev Kumar, District Program Officer Dr. Simran from Women and Child Development Department and other officials were present in the meeting.
