Gurugram, March 12 : The Counting of votes was completed in a peaceful environment today under the guidance of DC and District Election Officer Ajay Kumar at the places determined by the respective Returning Officer. All five urban body areas of the district including Government Girls College Sector 14 campus were fenced with strict security management. Peaceful counting of votes was conducted as all senior administrative and police officers were monitoring the situation of the all counting centers . After the results were declared, the winners were issued certificates for the posts of Mayor, Chairman and Councilor by the Returning Officers and Assistant RO of the respective local body areas.
BJP’s mayor candidate Raj Rani wins in Gurugram, BJP wins in 24 wards and independents win in 10
For counting of 905 booths of Municipal Corporation Gurugram, 6 counting centers were set up in Government Girls College Sector 14 campus. Counting of votes for the post of Mayor was done in 13 rounds under the supervision of ADC Hitesh Kumar Meena, Returning Officer and General Observer Shekhar Vidyarthi. According to the election results, Raj Rani Malhotra of Bharatiya Janata Party defeated Congress candidate Seema Pahuja by 1 lakh 79 thousand 485 votes by getting 2 lakh 70 thousand 781 votes. Seema Pahuja got 91 thousand 296 votes. During this, 15911 votes were cast in favor of NOTA. For the post of councilor, BJP won in 24 out of 36 wards of Municipal Corporation Gurugram and independents won in 10. In two wards, candidates of Congress and Jannayak Janata Party won in one ward each.

Counting of votes was conducted in the Community Center Hall in Sector 1 of HSIDC under the supervision of SDM Manesar and Returning Officer Darshan Yadav in Municipal Corporation Manesar. Here, 6 rounds were conducted for the post of Mayor in a total of 20 wards. Independent candidate Dr. Indrajit Yadav was declared the winner by 2293 votes. Dr. Indrajit got 26393 votes and runner-up BJP candidate Sundar Lal Sarpanch got 24100 votes. Independent candidate Vijay Singh, who came third, got 9163 votes and Congress candidate Neeraj Yadav, who came fourth, got 5143 votes. Here, 484 votes were cast in favour of NOTA. In the 20 wards of the corporation, Bharatiya Janata Party won in 7 places for the post of councilor. Whereas, independent candidates won in 13 wards.
BJP’s Preeti became the winner in the by-election for the post of Chairman of Sohna Municipal Council
The counting was conducted in the Government Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary School in Sohna under the supervision of SDM and Returning Officer Sanjeev Kumar. In the counting of votes, BJP’s chairman candidate Preeti was declared victorious by 4504 votes. Preeti got 11191 votes in her favour, while Congress candidate Lalita, who came second, got 6687 votes. Here 124 votes were cast in favour of NOTA.
BJP’s Praveen Thakaria winner of chairman post in Pataudi Jatauli Mandi Municipal Council
The counting of votes was conducted in Jatauli College under the supervision of SDM Pataudi and Returning Officer Dinesh Luhach in Pataudi Jatauli Mandi Municipal Council. 4 rounds of counting were conducted for the post of chairman in a total of 22 wards. In this, BJP’s Praveen Thakaria was declared victorious by 1891 votes. Praveen Thakaria got 12356 votes, while Congress candidate Rajrani, who came second, got 10465 votes. 201 votes were in favour of NOTA. In the 22 wards of Nagar Parishad, for the post of councillor, Bharatiya Janata Party won in 8 wards and independents won in 14 wards.
Independent Birbal Saini won for the post of President in Nagar Palika Farrukhnagar election results
Counting of 16 wards was done in Government Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary School under the supervision of CEO of Zila Parishad and Returning Officer of Nagar Palika Farrukhnagar Jagnivas. Here all the candidates contested as independents for the post of President and Ward Member. In which independent Birbal Saini won by 1157 votes for the post of President. Birbal Saini got 3364 votes, while independent candidate Dharmendra Kumar, who came second, got 2207 votes. Here 51 votes were cast in favour of NOTA.
