Discussion with corporate leaders focuses on Delhi’s strategic advantages, sustainable investments and the vision of a prosperous Viksit Dilli
New Delhi: Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu engaged with captains and senior leaders of industry at Lok Niwas Delhi last evening, alongside Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, to discuss the national capital’s investment potential and opportunities for business expansion.
The interaction focused on strengthening engagement between the government and the corporate sector and identifying opportunities that can help Delhi attract greater investment while creating new avenues for economic growth and employment.
The LG highlighted Delhi’s strategic location, robust infrastructure and skilled workforce, saying these strengths position the national capital to attract green, sustainable and future-ready enterprises.
Delhi’s connectivity with major economic centres across the National Capital Region, its extensive transport network, large consumer base and availability of skilled human resources provide a strong foundation for businesses looking to establish or expand their operations.
The emphasis on green and sustainable enterprises also reflects the growing importance of clean technologies, resource efficiency, environmentally responsible infrastructure and climate-conscious business models in shaping the next phase of urban economic development.
The corporate community’s insights, expertise and partnership were described as essential to identifying emerging opportunities and building a business environment that can support innovation, investment and job creation.
The interaction also underlined the importance of continued government-industry collaboration in developing policies and facilitating investments that can strengthen Delhi’s economic ecosystem.
The LG said that the collective efforts of the government and industry can help create new opportunities, accelerate sustainable growth and contribute to building a prosperous and future-ready “Viksit Dilli.”
