Guru Har Sahai, Punjab: The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) has resumed its ‘Punjab Bachao’ rallies, with the first rally of the second phase witnessing a massive gathering of more than 15,000 people in the Guru Har Sahai Assembly constituency.
Addressing the rally, the senior SAD leadership urged people to remain cautious of what it described as the “hollow claims” of other political parties, alleging that most other parties are controlled from Delhi and therefore take decisions that are against the interests of Punjab.
The SAD leaders asserted that the Shiromani Akali Dal is the only political party that belongs to Punjab and Punjabis and claimed that it understands the concerns and problems of the people of the state.
In the absence of SAD President Sukhbir Singh Badal, Harsimrat Kaur Badal attended the rally and addressed the gathering.
Senior party leaders present at the event included Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema, Balwinder Singh Bhundar, Sikandar Singh Maluka, Vardev Singh Mann, Nardev Singh Mann, Janmeja Singh Sekhon, and Joginder Singh Jindu, along with other senior members of the Shiromani Akali Dal leadership.
The rally witnessed the participation of a large number of SAD workers and local residents, with the party leadership highlighting the strong public response to its campaign to raise issues concerning Punjab and Punjabis.
