New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Dr Sanjeev Sinha, currently Professor and Head of the Department of Medicine at AIIMS New Delhi, as Director of AIIMS Jammu.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday, Dr Sinha has been appointed on deputation in Level 15 of the Pay Matrix for a tenure of three years from the date of assuming charge, or until he attains the age of 70 years, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
The ACC has also approved the appointment of Lt Gen (Retd) Dr Narendra Kotwal, currently Director of Endocrinology at Paras Health, Panchkula, and former Director and Commandant of Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune, as Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal on a contractual basis.
The appointments were cleared following a proposal submitted by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
The appointments of the two senior medical professionals are expected to strengthen the leadership and healthcare administration at AIIMS Jammu and AIIMS Bhopal.
