USS Theodore Roosevelt Leads Multinational Naval Formation During RIMPAC 2026

New Delhi/Hawaii, Pacific Ocean: The U.S. Navy’s Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) led a multinational formation of warships in the Pacific Ocean near Hawaii during Exercise Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2026, according to international media reports.

Now in its 30th edition, RIMPAC 2026 is regarded as the world’s largest international maritime exercise, bringing together naval forces from partner nations to strengthen interoperability, enhance maritime security, and improve coordination during multinational operations.

The exercise features the participation of:

  • 30 warships
  • 5 submarines
  • 190 aircraft
  • Nearly 30,000 military personnel

The multinational naval formation, led by USS Theodore Roosevelt, highlights the scale and operational cooperation among participating navies during the biennial exercise. RIMPAC provides an opportunity for allied and partner nations to conduct complex maritime operations, strengthen defence partnerships, and enhance collective readiness across the Indo-Pacific region.
