India Reaffirms Commitment to International Trade Law at UNCITRAL’s 60th Anniversary Conference

New Delhi: Secretary (Economic Relations), Ministry of External Affairs, Sudhakar Dalela, participated in the valedictory session of the international conference jointly hosted by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the Supreme Court of India, and the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) to commemorate the 60th anniversary of UNCITRAL.

The conference served as an important platform to reflect on India’s longstanding engagement with UNCITRAL and its contribution to the development and advancement of international trade law.

Addressing the concluding session, Sudhakar Dalela highlighted India’s collaboration with UNCITRAL over the years and reaffirmed the country’s commitment to strengthening the global legal framework governing international trade and commerce.

The event brought together legal experts, policymakers, and stakeholders to discuss the evolution of international trade law and India’s growing role in promoting rules-based international commercial practices.
