New Zealand PM Chris Luxon Celebrates Kiwi Indian Community at Auckland Awards

New Delhi : The Prime Minister of New Zealand, Chris Luxon, graced the 12th Kiwi Indians Hall of Fame Awards held in Auckland, a prestigious annual event celebrating excellence, achievement, and the contributions of the Indian diaspora in New Zealand.

In his address, Prime Minister Luxon lauded the significant contributions of the Kiwi Indian community across various sectors, highlighting their role in strengthening the social, cultural, and economic fabric of New Zealand. He also spoke about the upcoming visit of the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, noting that it reflects the continued deepening of India–New Zealand relations.

He further referred to the recently signed Free Trade Agreement between the two countries, describing it as a milestone that will enhance economic cooperation, trade, and investment flows between India and New Zealand.

India’s High Commissioner to New Zealand, Neeta Bhushan, also addressed the gathering and was invited to present awards during the ceremony. The event underscored the growing strength of India–New Zealand ties and the vibrant role of the Indian diaspora in fostering bilateral goodwill.
