New Delhi : Ministry of External Affairs has stated that it is closely monitoring the evolving situation in the Gulf and West Asia region, with a primary focus on ensuring the safety, security, and welfare of Indian nationals residing there.
In an official statement, Aseem R. Mahajan, Additional Secretary (Gulf), said that the Ministry is continuously assessing developments in the region and maintaining active coordination to address concerns related to the Indian community abroad.
He informed that a dedicated special control room has been established and remains operational at the Ministry of External Affairs to respond to queries and provide assistance to Indian nationals and their families. The control room is facilitating communication, information sharing, and support services during the ongoing situation.
The Ministry is also maintaining regular coordination with various State Governments and Union Territories to ensure timely dissemination of information and effective synchronization of response efforts.
The statement reflects the Government of India’s continued commitment to safeguarding the interests and well-being of the Indian diaspora in the Gulf and West Asia amid evolving regional developments.
