New Delhi : Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, announced that Iran and the United States have agreed to an immediate ceasefire.
In a post on X, he stated that the agreement would not only apply to Lebanon but also extend to other regions. According to him, the decision was achieved through mutual understanding and dialogue between both countries and their respective allies.
Calling the development a significant move toward peace, Sharif expressed appreciation for the leadership of both nations. He also invited their representatives to Islamabad on April 10, 2026, for further discussions.
The Prime Minister voiced optimism that the upcoming “Islamabad Talks” would yield positive outcomes, adding that more encouraging developments could follow in the coming days.
