Kurukshetra, June 02 : An Alumni of the Dept. of Economics Kurukshetra University Prof. M.M. Goel, former Chairperson, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences and Dean of Colleges handed over a cheque of Rs 3 Lakh to the Vice-Chancellor Prof.Som Nath Sachdeva for granting a gold medal and cash of Rs 11000/ to the topper of MA (Economics) every year in memory of his mother Late Mewa Wati Goel. Prof. Goel told that the credit goes to his mother for his education and success in life.
He has worked as Vice-Chancellor, Starex University, Gurugram, Jagannath University Jaipur, Director-cum-Vice-Chancellor Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development, Sriperumbudur (RGNIYD- An Institution of National Importance) appointed by President of India, Pro Vice-Chancellor Veer Kunwar Singh University Ara (State University of Bihar) and Advisor (Public Finance) 6th State Finance Commission Haryana. He is known as the Founder Needonomics School of Thought.
