“No Eligible Voter Should Be Left Out”: Gurugram Focuses on Time-Bound Disposal of SIR Cases

636 Pending Cases Heard at Special Camp in Gurugram; Special Camp and Door-to-Door Survey to Continue on October 9

Gurugram : Haryana has stepped up efforts for the time-bound disposal of notices and hearing cases related to electoral rolls under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise, with particular emphasis on ensuring that no eligible voter is left out.

As part of the exercise, a special camp was organised in Gurugram on Wednesday, during which hearings were conducted in around 636 pending cases.

A total of 4,75,477 notices have been generated in Gurugram district under the SIR exercise. Of these, 7,992 cases are pending for hearing, accounting for 1.68 per cent of the total cases.

District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Uttam Singh is regularly reviewing the status of pending cases. He has directed the concerned officials to ensure the early disposal of pending hearing cases, undertake effective monitoring and take necessary action in accordance with the prescribed procedure.

Special Camp and Door-to-Door Survey on October 9

To complete the hearing process within the stipulated timeline, special camps and door-to-door surveys will be conducted on October 9, during which necessary documents will be collected from the concerned voters.

Voters who have received notices under the SIR exercise but have not yet submitted the required documents have been urged to provide them within the prescribed period to the concerned officials or Booth Level Officers (BLOs).

Appeal to Eligible Voters to Submit Documents

District Election Officer Uttam Singh has appealed to all eligible voters who have yet to submit their required documents to make use of the special campaign and provide the documents to their respective BLOs.

The objective is to ensure that no eligible voter is left out and that the names of all eligible voters are included in the final electoral roll scheduled to be published on November 6, 2026.
