CM Nayab Singh Saini Hands Yatra Torch to Youth, Calls for Active Participation in Building Viksit Bharat

Gurugram, October 7: Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday launched the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Jyoti Yatra’ in Gurugram under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, calling upon citizens, particularly the youth, to actively contribute to the vision of a Viksit Bharat.

Shah handed over the yatra torch to Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, conveying the message of taking Haryana forward on the path of development and ensuring active public participation in the nation-building process.

At the state-level function organised in Gurugram, Amit Shah, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, public representatives and thousands of young participants listened live to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address marking the completion of 25 years of his public life. The Prime Minister called for greater public participation in realising the vision of a developed India, with a focus on service, good governance and nation-building.

Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh, Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh, Minister of State for Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Gaurav Gautam, BJP state president Dr. Archana Gupta, former Union Minister Smriti Irani, BJP Parliamentary Board member Dr. Sudha Yadav, Sohna MLA Tejpal Tanwar, Pataudi MLA Bimla Chaudhary, Gurugram MLA Mukesh Sharma and other dignitaries were present at the event.

Modi’s 25 Years in Public Life a Transformative Chapter: Amit Shah

Addressing the gathering, Amit Shah described the completion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public life as a “golden and transformative chapter” in the history of Indian democracy.

He said that during these 25 years, Modi had continuously served the country and millions of citizens, first as a Chief Minister and subsequently as Prime Minister.

Shah said October 7 holds special significance in the history of Indian democracy. Referring to Modi’s journey from a poor family to the highest levels of public leadership, he said that through his ability, talent and by taking millions of people along with him, Modi had created a record of leading the country for 25 years as Chief Minister and Prime Minister.

He said the 25 years of Narendra Modi’s public life would be “written in golden letters” in history.

Amit Shah Highlights Development Milestones

The Union Home Minister said that under Modi’s leadership, India had achieved several significant milestones during the past 25 years.

He referred to initiatives and achievements relating to poverty alleviation, national security, the abrogation of Article 370, elimination of Naxalism, construction of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya and Kashi Vishwanath Dham, besides the expansion and modernisation of the country’s infrastructure.

Shah also highlighted the government’s welfare initiatives for economically weaker sections, saying that these efforts had contributed to 25 crore people moving out of poverty.

He said Modi’s 25 years represented 25 years of welfare of the poor, India’s pride and the country’s progress.

Yatra to Mark 25 Years of Service

Amit Shah said the Seva Jyoti Yatra had been organised to commemorate 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public service and dedication.

He said the objective of the yatra was to celebrate the country’s development journey through public participation while encouraging citizens to contribute to nation-building.

The Union Home Minister particularly called upon the youth to play an active role in realising the vision of a Viksit Bharat.

Yatra Torch Installed Near Signature Tower

As part of the programme, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini travelled through prominent routes of Gurugram and installed the yatra torch near Signature Tower.

He subsequently handed the torch over to the youth and called upon them to participate actively in building a Viksit Bharat.

The yatra commenced with a Viksit Bharat Sabha, which witnessed enthusiastic participation by thousands of young people.

Development Meaningful When Benefits Reach Every Citizen: CM

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said the development of the country and Haryana would be meaningful only when better facilities reach every citizen and people’s lives become happier, more prosperous and free from problems.

He called for collective participation in taking forward the development agenda and realising the vision of a developed India.

Additional Chief Secretary, Public Works Department, A.K. Singh; Commissioner and Secretary, Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Haryana, K. Makrand Pandurang; Media Advisor to the Chief Minister Rajeev Jaitley; Gurugram Mayor Raj Rani Malhotra; Manesar Mayor Dr. Inderjeet Yadav, and other dignitaries were also present.
