Hindi Pakhwada 2026 Highlights Efforts to Expand the Use and Outreach of Hindi
New Delhi/London: As part of Hindi Pakhwada 2026, India House in the United Kingdom hosted the Annual Meeting of the Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC), London, bringing together representatives of India-based offices operating in the UK.
The meeting reviewed ongoing initiatives aimed at promoting the use of Hindi in official work and discussed measures to further strengthen its adoption and outreach.
Participants exchanged views on expanding the practical use of Hindi in official communication and administrative work, while also sharing experiences and initiatives undertaken by various offices.
The meeting underlined the importance of encouraging the progressive use of Hindi in official functioning and creating greater awareness about the language among officials and the wider Indian community in the UK.
