New Delhi : Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday inaugurated the city’s Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) at the DMRC IT Park under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, calling it a major step towards technology-driven, coordinated action against air pollution.
The ICCC is a centralised platform that brings together real-time monitoring, identification of pollution hotspots, data analysis and coordination among government departments and agencies. Its goal is to shorten the gap between spotting a pollution source and acting against it.
The Centre will use advanced analytics and AI-enabled tools, including AI-driven cameras, to detect pollution sources and keep watch on areas that need intervention. It is expected to serve as a coordination hub for Delhi’s year-round pollution management.
The facility also ties into the city’s wider enforcement strategy, including Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras that flag vehicles violating pollution norms. The government has also announced stricter implementation of the “No PUC, No Fuel” rule.
The centre follows the Delhi government’s 2026 air-pollution action plan, which calls for greater use of technology, centralised monitoring, data-based enforcement and inter-agency coordination.
Speaking at the event, Gupta said clean air is directly linked to the health of Delhi’s families and the future of coming generations. She stressed that pollution control needs sustained action through the year, not just measures during winter.
Cabinet Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa and MLA Arvinder Singh Lovely were also present at the inauguration.
