Rohtak : A special programme was organised with devotion and enthusiasm at the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) office in Rohtak on the occasion of the organisation’s Foundation Day. The event drew participation from VHP office-bearers, volunteers, and several distinguished members of the local community.
Addressing the gathering as the chief speaker, Kamal traced the organisation’s storied history, noting that the Vishwa Hindu Parishad was established in 1964 at the ashram of Sandipani Muni, in the presence of revered saints. He explained that the organisation’s founding purpose centred on uniting Hindu society, fostering harmony and unity within the community, and working toward the preservation and promotion of Hindu culture, traditions, and values.
Kamal further noted that since its inception, the VHP has consistently worked to raise social awareness and bring together different sections of society through its service initiatives. He stressed that acquainting the younger generation with their cultural heritage, values, and the organisation’s proud history remains an especially pressing priority today.
Calling on volunteers to stay committed to the cause, he remarked that a community’s real strength lies in its unity, values, and organisation, urging every worker to carry out their responsibilities with a spirit of social service and dedication to the nation.
A senior Rohtak police official, present as the guest of honour, expressed gratitude for being invited to the event, remarking that he felt privileged to attend the programme. On the occasion, district minister Keshav Ji felicitated the guest by presenting him with a ceremonial sash.
Speakers at the event reflected on the organisation’s journey from its founding to the present day, highlighting its ongoing contributions to social service and cultural awakening. Volunteers in attendance reaffirmed their commitment to furthering the organisation’s founding objectives and strengthening bonds of brotherhood, social harmony, and cultural consciousness within the community.

The programme also saw substantial participation from women members and from the mothers and sisters of the Durga Vahini wing.
