New Delhi : US Ambassador in India Sergio Gor highlighted a constructive meeting held this morning with Secretary Wright and Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, focused on advancing the future of U.S.–India energy cooperation.
Expressing his views about the US visit of Indian Foreign Secretary on social media X , he noted that the recent passage of India’s landmark SHANTI bill marks a significant milestone, opening new avenues for bilateral collaboration in the civil nuclear sector. In addition, both sides expressed readiness to strengthen engagement across complementary areas, including coal gasification initiatives and the expansion of U.S. LPG exports to support India’s growing energy needs.
The discussions reflect a shared commitment to deepening strategic energy ties and promoting sustainable, secure, and diversified energy solutions for the future.
He stated that it was a pleasure to host Vikram Misri at Mar-a-Lago, where discussions focused on strengthening the U.S.–India partnership.
Covering key areas such as trade, defense, and energy, he emphasized that both India and the United States are well-positioned to work closely together in the months and years ahead, reflecting a shared commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation.
