Gurugram : The Mission Swachh Gurugram campaign, run by the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram, has now gained full momentum. In order to strengthen the city’s sanitation system, the corporation has increased the intensity of cleaning operations. While regular cleaning of garbage vulnerable points is being ensured, the work of removing dirt, garbage, and overgrown grass from the roads is also being carried out on a war footing.

On Thursday, the corporation’s sanitation teams cleaned several major roads and sectors of the city. Roads were cleared of dirt and grass in areas including Bakhtawar Chowk to Cyber ​​Park, Palam Vihar Road, Medanta Road, Bakhtawar Chowk to Subhash Chowk, Sector 4, Old Railway Road, National Highway Service Lane, Sector 23A, Dhanwapur Road, MDI Chowk, Lotus Valley Road, Khandsa Road, Shyam Chowk to Shobha City Road, and other areas. Special cleaning drives are being conducted in all zones. Corporation teams are cleaning areas from morning until evening to ensure there is no accumulation of dirt or dirt.

Corporation Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya stated that under Mission Swachh Gurugram, all Joint Commissioners have been instructed to monitor their respective zones. He stated that keeping the city clean, green, and beautiful is the corporation’s top priority, and everyone must work together to achieve this. He also emphasized that citizens’ cooperation is crucial to the success of this mission. Citizens have been urged to dispose of garbage only at designated locations and cooperate with the corporation in keeping the city clean.

Appeal to Citizens: Support the Clean Gurugram Campaign

The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram has appealed to residents to actively participate in making Mission Clean Gurugram a success. Municipal Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya stated that keeping the city clean is not only the corporation’s responsibility, but also the duty of every citizen. He urged citizens not to throw waste from their homes and shops on the streets and to place it in the garbage collection vehicle at the designated time. Avoid throwing garbage on the streets, drains, or vacant plots. Deposit construction debris and garden waste only at designated waste collection centers. Stop using plastic and single-use items and adopt environmentally friendly alternatives. Report litter or illegal garbage dumping in your neighborhood by calling the Municipal Corporation’s helpline number or the Swachhata App.

The Municipal Commissioner stated that only with the cooperation of citizens can Gurugram be made clean, healthy, and beautiful. He expressed confidence that with everyone’s participation, Mission Swachh Gurugram will take the form of a mass movement and the city will be included among the cleanest cities in the country.
